Dogwood Cove
In the beginning, our location was Troseth at Dogwood Cove. Later the post office wanted us defined by a number. We took the number but rejected the definition. The mail now comes to a number, but life, love, and laughter still live at Dogwood Cove. More: www.erictroseth.com Patterns of Our Lives
This hawk landed about 15 feet from me on a gray and drizzly day. Patterns of beauty surround us, sometimes in a hawk or a sunrise, sometimes in Bach or the Milky Way or the smile of a friend. "I have a dream," spoke Martin Luther King, well knowing that dreams, like rivers, travel over time and run their course. As we've driven through the South and been warmly and graciously hosted in Montgomery by Nancy Kling Shinbaum and her husband Richard, I've thought of King's dream that his little children would someday be "judged not by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character." I've watched little kids - black, white, Hispanic, Asian - laughing and playing together and knowing only the laughter. Like the river, the dream hasn't yet reached its fullness, but the progress has, in some respects, been astounding. More:www.erictroseth.com
